One of the ways you can support Street Assist is by joining us as a volunteer. Our service is 100% delivered by volunteers, therefore whatever time you can dedicate or the skills you can offer all make a massive difference.

You'll be dealing with people from all walks of life when they're at their most vulnerable. You'll build your confidence in making that first approach and building trust with those you're helping
What our volunteers say
I enjoy volunteering with Street Assist as it’s a rewarding charity and I get to meet different people and learn from them. From paramedics students to Finance students, everyone has a different background but we are all there for the same reasons, to make sure everyone we come across on a night out gets home safely. Your confidence grows while volunteering and you learn new skills on the way too.

Street Assist gives me a great sense of pride knowing that I am helping vulnerable people. It also allows me to develop my clinical skills and social skills, to be able to communicate in a more effective manner. Training is such a key area of what we do. We need to know what to do in a given situation. It is so important that we have the training available to us to help us whilst out on the streets. From the training I have completed, first aid provided me with such great knowledge of what to do in an emergency situation and how to deal with difficult circumstances.
