Street Assist comments on Ketamine use becoming social norm among young Scots.
Support from McDonalds in the Community Foundation
McDonalds in the Community Foundation have donated £10,000 to Street Assist Edinburgh. This will allow us to purchase new radios and tablets which we use on delivery nights. Conor Straub came along to one of our delivery nights to meet the volunteers and announce the funding support.
Meadows Marathon 2026
We supported the ESCA Meadows Marathon again this year as part of our ongoing partnership with ESCA where we are one of their chosen charities. One of our volunteers Jonathan took part in the race as part of his fundraising efforts for Street Assist's 10th Anniversary and another volunteer Francis, volunteered as a steward for the race.
Chamber of Commerce Awards
Street Assist Edinburgh won Highly Commended alongside JCDecaux for the Inspiring Partnership Award at the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Awards.
Race2Prague
Two of our volunteers, Isla and Niamh, took part in the ESCA Race2Prague. They had 72 hours to hitch hike to Prague from Edinburgh, competing against 38 other pairs. The girls completed the race in 34 hours and 43 minutes, finishing 2nd overall and only 32 minutes behind first place. They raised over £1150 for their efforts.
Edinburgh 900
Our Street Assist Edinburgh volunteers were so proud to take part in the Edinburgh 900 People’s Procession. Walking alongside so many incredible groups that make this city what it is was a truly special experience.
We had an amazing time celebrating Edinburgh’s history, community, and spirit – and of course, doing it all together as a team!
Kiltwalk 2025
Congratulations to our volunteers Sonny, Markus, Ben, Zach and Madison who took on the Kiltwalk earlier this month and have raised over £1200 in sponsorship!

Summer City - Welfare Hub
In partnership with Edinburgh Council, Scottish Ambulance Service, Police Scotland & Essential Edinburgh we delivered the Welfare Hub Service over the 3 nights of the recent Oasis concerts. We welcomed along Michael Dickson, CEO of the Scottish Ambulance Service who visited to learn more about this unique pilot project.
JCDecaux Partnership

£30,000 Grant
We're excited to announce that Street Assist Edinburgh were successful in securing a £30,000 Enable Grant over the next three years, from the Bank of Scotland Foundation which will go towards our continued commitment to train our volunteers with the skills they need for their volunteer roles and future careers.

ESCA Chosen Charity
We are delighted to receive support from Edinburgh Students Charity Appeal for a second year as one of two chosen charities that they will fundraise for in 2025.
